Since 2020, Trilingua Cinema has been a proud co-sponsor of Hmoob Day festivities in East Side Saint Paul. Hmong American Day was created as an official state holiday in 2013 and is celebrated each year on May 14th. The day celebrates Hmong American culture and identity, but all are welcome to join in the fun!

UPDATED: Some Hmoob Day events have shifted due to weather. The night market on Saturday has been cancelled and the movie screening has been moved to 3pm Sunday (the 14th) at Indigenous Roots Cultural Arts Center.

Join Trilingua Cinema, Hmong American Day, Dayton's Bluff Neighborhood Housing Services and Indigenous Roots Cultural Arts Center in celebrating Hmoob Day 2023!
This year's events include a multicultural market, food trucks (including Eggroll Queen!) Hmong games including demonstrations ofTujlub and Takraw, karaoke, and a free screening of the film Tuab Los Tseg by Houa Productions. The film will start at 3pm at Indigenous Roots Cultural Arts Center, just up the street from the park at 788 E. 7th St. Come watch the movie and eat some free movie theater popcorn!
